Purity – 21.5” W X 18” L $125


“Purity” was created in response to a quilt I saw hanging in a gallery in Atlanta. It was a single piece of white fabric with rows of large stitches quilted across it horizontally. Each row was quilted with a different color of thread. I almost walked by it without a second glance but the stitching caught my eye at the last moment. In this quilt I worked with gradations of white to beige fabrics cut and sewn in soft waves and then I quilted it horizontally, shifting the color to a darker thread gradually as I moved down and across the quilt. Rather subtle.
